All American Everything
Posted on 09 August 2016
While watching the Olympic Opening Ceremony last Friday we couldn't help but reminisce on some of the amazing events we've been able to witness over our years watching the summer games. As kids, being out of school in the summer, we could watch coverage all day and get away with it because it's history, Mom. As adults it's significantly different but we'd be lying if we told you we didn't keep the HQ office TV on as "background noise" during the games.
Our favorite moments include great victories, atrocious outfits, sibling competitions on who can guess the closest medal count, and knowing we can wear Red, White, and Blue or American flags for almost three weeks!
Let's take a moment to rewind to a few of our fondest Olympic victories and uniforms.
- Hunter, changes clothes 23 times in a day, naturally went with the "swank" outfits of the Original Dream Team of 1992.
- Cameron, can't choose "just one". His love for Cool Runnings (despite it being fictitious) led him to choose the 1988 Jamaican Bobsled team and his love for NC State (his alma mater) led him to chose Cullen Jones and the nail-biting win of the 2008 400m Men's Free Relay.
- Charlotte, our lover of a good #tbt, chose the 1936 Men's Rowing Team that defeated the German team during WWII (cue the original U-S-A chant).
While everyone has at least one red, white, or blue something in their closet, planning three weeks of Olympic themed outfits can be challenging. Don't worry, we've got you covered from head to waist and everywhere in between. Should you be throwing an Olympics watching party we also know a thing or two about throwing a good American themed party.
We love the Olympics and America so much we're throwing in a Free Koozie with every purchase made during the games. Grab yours & your Made in USA American Products today!
